Yet Another Top Ten List
by Jan Bazen, TCGOB Staff

Top ten things you can do on Sundays once the NASCAR season is over.

10. Work on your own car.
9. Clean your diecast collection.
8. Find a friend and a long dirt road and start your own race.
7. Join a support group for off season NASCAR addicts.
6. Buy a toy race track and invite all your friends over.
5. Stand outside the closest race track and stare through the gates to relieve withdrawal symptoms.
4. Go outside and practice waving your checkered flag.
3. Reread all your past issues of racing magazines.
2. Watch past races you taped on video.
1. When the family is not looking, take out your two favorite diecast cars and head for the driveway.

Really folks, all of this is in jest of course.  Nobody really (sweat beads roll down my face) goes through (I can't breathe) withdrawal (my vision is blurring) symptoms from (my hands are shaking...what's happening to me?) NASCAR, do they?

Since I am not an avid fan of football or basketball, I wonder what I will do on Friday and Sunday afternoons after this weekend's race at Loudon. I guess I will just have to go buy that book NASCAR for Dummies, the new book on Dale Earnhardt, or maybe the book on the history of NASCAR and bone up for next season. The countdown to the 2002 season will begin soon.

By the way, is anyone interested in racing with me on my new race track?
